This post is extremely dear to my heart. Derek is the most beautiful second child ever…and that is because he is my son. I love this little guy like crazy! He has brought so much joy to Chad, me and our family…I just can’t imagine life before him. He just turned two this past July and I am still in shock by how FAST time has flown. I can remember vividly finding out the day that I was pregnant with him, our first ultrasound picture, the whole pregnancy, holding him for the first time, and then bring him home. He is truly such a sweet boy with such an easy going personality. Derek LOVES throwing rocks, anything with trains, loves imitating and playing with his big brother Travis, is a fruitatarian, loves to get dirty…with everything. But his number one thing to say…which makes me teary…is “I Love you too mommy.” I hear this seriously, like 100 times a day….and each time is as special as the first. I could go on and on about how beautiful this boy is, but I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. Happy Birthday my sweet baby boy!
We are going to try and make it a tradition to be on vacation during Derek’s birthdays….just to keep it even that more special. Last year we were in B.C Canada and this year we spent it in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Enjoy the beauty of SD!
