I love that despite all the "mystery" that surrounds my life, I can still sing this song from the depths of my soul. God is truly the Beautiful One I Love, Beautiful One I adore, Beautiful One my soul must sing.

It’s Not What You Think…
I am not a fan of winter…at all. There is nothing appealing about being cold, shoveling snow, being stuck indoors, wearing layers and layers of clothes to make me look two sizes larger, or the thought of living in a sepia world for months on end. Sure, winter is beautiful with snow and great around holidays…but that is all fine and dandy on commercials and postcards….not on my front lawn. I like me my Christmas light palm trees and Santa in his Hawaiian shirt…now that is MY kind of Christmas. So, why am I talking about winter when it is still summer? Well, that’s because I just scored the coolest coffee mug eva! I spotted this rare coffee mug over a year ago and fell in love with it. I ran across this coffee mug just last month and just had to have it! It comes in the 24-105 mm and 70-200mm. Since I don’t drink coffee, this mug will definitely get it’s fair dose of chocolate milk over the long winter season. So even though I can’t stand the thought of winter rapidly approaching, at least I’ll have this cool hot chocolate mug to keep me company!

Capturing Your: Reflections
Meet Aween, class of 2011! Ok, first things first….can we say GORGE-OUS?? No joke, after our photo shoot, I went home and dyed my hair brown! I was completely in awe over how stunning Aween was that it completely inspired me to go back to my original hair color. Ok, enough about my hair and more about Aween. Aside from her beauty, Aween is a outgoing, energetic Senior who loves hanging out with her friends, shopping, fashion, shoes, upbeat music, reading, and journaling . Definitely a girl after my own heart, at least the shopping, shoes, fashion and upbeat music ….since the only reading I do are bedtime stories for my kiddos and my “journals” consists of grocery lists and to d0 notes. Aween’s mom joined us for the shoot and your could tell that this mother duo definitely has a great time together and beautiful bond. How cool is to be able to have a shopping partner for life? Love it! Aween, I wish you all the best as you enter your Senior year and all the challenges and privileges it offers. You have such an incredible inner beauty and strength that will give you the ability to accomplish anything you want. All the best and thank you for letting me be a part of your senior experience!
She’s a natural at the runway walk. Work it Aween!
Aween absolutely has the most beautiful complexion and skin…ever!

Capturing Your: Anticipation
You may recognize Janet from a few months back from a family photo shoot. As you can see, they are adding to their beautiful family…and this time it’s a boy! Janet is one of my closest friends and it is so awesome to be sharing in this experience and looking forward to meeting her new little boy. I totally thought it was going to another girl, but surprise….it’s a boy! Janet, Jesse and the girls couldn’t be more excited to welcome this new little baby into their home, hearts and lives. I just can’t wait until we can go out again and order “non pregnancy” food like deep fried pickles and peppers!
It was such a fun “experience” taking her pictures…since the first night it poured….so we rescheduled for the following more…which meant the kiddos would all be there. At one point, I got pooped on by a bird on my foot, Derek was laying on top of me while I was laying on the ground taking pictures, the kids ate about 3 packs of gummies, 1 sucker each, shared a bottle of fizzy juice and who knows what else we stuffed them with so we could finish up. We had some GREAT laughs and were so proud on how well the kids played together and even relaxed together on the blanket. Definitely an adventure only friends could share. It was definitely a McDonalds lunch which the kids more than deserved :) Janet, I can’t wait to meet your lil’ guy and I look forward to helping you celebrate his arrival soon!
