Capturing Your: Flavor

IMG_7779OH.MY.GOSH! This chocolate chip recipe seriously TRUMPED any other chocolate chip cookie recipe I have ever made or tried. Ever. Final. Period. End of story. Get it? Make sure you read the “story” of this supposed $ 250 cookie recipe. If you follow this step by step, you too will have the same "Oh my GOSH” gasp just like I did when I tried the first fresh from the oven. My brother, sister in law, and husband all had the same reaction… so did our kids, and I think the whole neighborhood heard our OH MY GOSHes clearly across the street. Just click on the link below to enjoy your Oh My Gosh cookies!

*One thing I did change was to add glazed walnuts.

Capturing Your: Laughter

IMG_5822-copyDuring our photo shoot, I couldn’t say enough how CUTE this little stud muffin is. Now, after looking through all his pictures and picking out my favorites….I STILL can’t say enough how CUTE he is!! We met Ethan and his parents at our church when Ethan was just a few months old. Turns out, we just live a few blocks away from each other and since then have kept in touch with them as friends. I can’t get over how much Ethan has rapidly changed…from being this blue eyed bald baby, to this blue eyed blonde boy! He is truly SUCH a handsome boy and I believe it is safe to safe that those beautiful blue eyes and adorable smile will surely melt so many hearts throughout his life….particularly the ladies.  And one thing that I don’t get to do often, is say Ethan in a “regular” tone, since the ONLY time I get to say Ethan is when Travis ETHAN is in BIG.TROUBLE. So thank you Ethan, for giving me this opportunity to cut into your play time, crash your one on one time with your beautiful mommy and kindly say your name. You totally made my day!

Memorial Day Weekend

Hope you all have a great Memorial Day Weekend, spending time with family and friends, getting refreshed and taking some time to reflect and honor the many men and women who have fought for our freedom…as well as those who are currently serving in this country and across the world. Most important, it is a time to honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice with their lives. A HUGE thank you to all the men and women who have dedicated their lives to serve our country! We honor you this weekend and always.

Always remember
We bow our heads in silent grace;
Proud to stand upon this place.
To honor those who we love and lost;
Whose lives were taken at such a cost.
Through the pain and sorrow, for all the brave and true;
To always be remembered by me and by you.
To heal the minds and hearts, of those who still live;
Always remembering what they had to give.
Live your lives with pride in hearing what I say;
May God bless and keep you on this and every day.

Capturing Your: Laughter

IMG_3747-copy

Oh, what a difference a year makes. It was almost a year ago from my last photo shoot with these beautiful girls, Mya and Noella. During our trip to Canada, I was able to spend some fun time with Lisa and her girls. Although Mya hasn’t changed all that much, Noella was a completely different story. Last time I saw her, she has very little hair, reddish hair and could barely sit up. Now she has a head full of curly blonde hair and walks all over the place. She had changed so much, I was shocked that I didn’t recognize her…me, “Miss I never forget a face!”  Mya is one of the brightest child I have ever met. That girl can talk and hold a conversation with any adult…and she is just 3. She is a spit fire and I just love the energy that she exudes. Noella on the other hand is on the shy side and she loves to communicate with her eyes. I could tell, since she gave the the “eye”, the “eye” that was saying, “Stay away from me with that camera Lady.” I just love watching the precious personalities of the Little peeps and observing how different two siblings can be! A big shout out goes to both Mya and Noella...for doing so well during the dead center of naptime and letting me harass you by taking “just one more shot.” Mya, you deserved that ice cream…and well, Noella, you passed out once the car turned on. I owe you one girl!
